Happy Retirement!

Hi, there!

TGIF!  Another beautiful day here in NW Ohio with temps to reach the 70's.  It's been a wonderful fall.  The leaves will turn later this year.  They are just starting to turn, but it will be another couple weeks until we see a full color change.

Anyways, I have a card to share with you that I made a couple weeks ago for my sister's best friend, Yvonne.  She retired from the post office.  My sis asked me to make a handmade card for her.  I'm entering this card over at Word Art Wednesday.  And, here is the card...

I started with a white card base and paired it with red.  I have Madison dressed in blue and holding the retirement sign.  I'm sure Yvonne won't be seeing tons and tons of mail now that she is retired!  Madison's outfit is from the set Aloha.  The mail box and letters are from the set Sent from my Heart.  The sentiment is from the set Happy Everything.  The bird and tree is from the set Home is where your story begins.  The fence was die cut using Sweet Cuts-Home-Tweet-Home.  And, the banner was die cut using Sweet Cuts-Be Happy.  Twine to finish the card.

Paper Sweeties October 2017-Release Rewind!

Hi, there!

Welcome to Paper Sweeties Release Rewind!  We hope you have been inspired by the design team with the new release this month!  I'm highlighting the new For You set once again.  But, instead of a card I made a Halloween treat bag!  I plan to give this to our sweet neighbor girl, Rianna.

So, today we share with you a project with new stamps/dies combined with previous released stamps/dies.  And, here is the treat bag with Abigail in her pumpkin costume...

The previous released stamp sets that I used are Abigail, Too Cute to Spook(pumpkin costume, got candy sentiment), Sweet Cuts-Sweet Borders(border along bottom of tag and bottom of bag), and Stand Add-on: Fall Harvest(small pumpkin).  The new stamp/die set is the new For You(Stitched tag and sentiments).  The fence was die cut using  Sweet Cuts-Home Tweet Home.  Stickles was applied to her costume and ribbon(Licorice) to finish the treat bag.

Hi, there!

Welcome to Paper Sweeties Release Party!  Today is the day that you can purchase the wonderful new stamp/die sets that are released this month!  The new sets are Home is where your story begins and For You.  The coordinating dies are Sweet Cuts-Home is where your story begins and Sweet Cuts-For You.  Today I am highlighting the set For You.  This set has the stitched tag along with several wonderful sentiments.  I love it!  I can see myself making lots of tag shaker cards with this awesome set!    And, here is my card...

I started with a white card base.  Gold embossed pumpkins were water colored with zig markers.  The large pumpkins are from the set  Thankful.  The small pumpkins are from the set Stand Add-on: Fall.  The stitched tag and sentiment is from the new set For You.  The scallop around the window frame is from the set Sweet Cuts-Rectangle Scallop Frames.  Sequins of (Creamsicle), and (Gold) were added for the shaker.  Ribbon (Creamsicle) and gold twine to finish the card.

Dies R Us Challenge October 15, 2017 (Leaves)

Hi, Friends!

I'm here to share with you my card for the Dies R Us Challenge!  The theme is (Leaves).  I made a fall card for my husband.  He loves cashew nuts and held off until after his lab work for his cholesterol check.  It wasn't as high as the last one.  It was much lower in fact.  So, I bought him a can of cashews to celebrate...lol!  I hope he likes the card!

And, here is my card...

I started with a light orange base and paired it with Lawn Fawn zig zag Rectangle Stackable dies.  I wanted to incorporate more gold on the card, so I applied gold strips over the frame.  The squirrel and sentiment is from PTI.  The leaves and squirrel were water colored using zig markers.  More gold with die cut pumpkins from Cheery Lynn.  Gold twine and gold nuvo crystal drops to finish the card.

All dies that were used for my card with links are listed below.  I hope you create a project using dies and join us for the challenge!

There are so many choices at Dies R Us store!  And, new items are added all the time!  I'd love to see your project in the challenge...happy creating!

Would you like more inspiration?  Check out some amazing creations from my talented teammates!

Paper Sweeties October 2017 Release Sneak Peeks!

Hi, there!

Welcome to Paper Sweeties Release Sneak Peeks!  Debbie has designed two new fabulous stamp/die sets...Home is where your story begins/Sweet Cuts-Home is where you story begins and For You/Sweet Cuts-For You for this month's release!

Wonderful sentiments in the first set along with the cutest house, tree, and bird with nest.  The second new set comes with a stitched tag and several sentiments!  The new sets will be released tomorrow on the 15th!  And, here is my card today highlighting the set  (Home is where your story begins)...

For my card I started with a blue base.  I paired it with white and gingham paper.  The panels behind the house were die cut using Sweet Cuts-Window.  I embossed the sentiment, which is from the new set Home is where your story begins onto a die cut oval scalloped frame from Sweet Cuts-Oval Scallop Frames.  All images were colored with copics.  Sequins(Strawberry) and twine to finish the card.

Here is a view of the inside of the card...

Love that sweet sentiment and the
darling bird with the heart!

Paper Sweeties Plan Your Life Series-October 2017!

Paper Sweeties Plan Your Life Series-October!

Hi, Friends!

Today I'm revealing my planner pages for the month of October!  There isn't a new planner set for this month, but I've used many previously released sets.  I decided to go with a Halloween theme with Abigail dressed in her witch costume.  She is ready to go trick-or-treating!  And, now a closer peek at my planner pages...

Abigail is ready for treats!  She has her treat bag and her broom, too!  Her outfit is from the set Best Witches.  The large pumpkin behind her is from the set Thankful.  The sentiment at the top of the page is from the set Too Cute to Spook.  The frame around the sentiment is from Sweet Cuts-Oval Scallop Frames.  The planner stamps that I used on the pages are Planner Series:Get Your Craft On,  Planner Series: Happy IconsPlanner Series: Wedding, and Planner Series-Celebrate  and Plan Your Life Series: Fall Sentiments.

I had lots of fun decorating my planner for October!  I hope you
check out our planner stamps and have fun decorating your
planner, too!
