Happy Birthday!

Hi, there!

Just popping in quick to share with you a card I made for my husband's birthday!  His birthday was March 12th.  But, I had a post for every day last week due to DT assignments and St. Pat's Day.  So, I decided to share a pic of the card today along with a few photos.

For my card, I used a few MFT dies and the bday sentiment is from Reverse Confetti.

My husband prefers to have a cherry pie made for his birthday instead of a cake.    Here is a pic of him with the pie...

I bought him a new Ohio State shirt.  In the previous pic you can note that the shirt is from 2005.  But, it's one of his favorite shirts.  And, believe me he has lots of Ohio State shirts...lol!

Our son came up for the birthday fun and we went out to our favorite Mexican restaurant.

Well, that's all for now.  Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by today!  Take care and have a wonderful week!

Hugs,
Maria

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Hi, Friends!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!  Today is the day to bring on the green!  I made this card for my friend, Nancy, who happens to be Irish by marriage, too!  She adores animals, so I made sure that I included one on her card.

I colored Sophie with copics and die cut her with coordinating die Sweet Cuts-Sophie.  Her outfit was stamped and paper pieced from the set Live Love Grow.  The kitten is from the set Sweeties Pets.  The sentiment at the top of my card is from the set Hello Friend.  And, the sentiment at the bottom of the card is from the set Happy Everything.  The house was die cut twice.  Gold stickles was applied.  The house die cut is from the set Somewhere over the Rainbow.

Hi, there!

Welcome to Paper Sweeties Release Party!  Today is the day for you to purchase those awesome coffee/tea themed stamps! This is my second post for the day.  Please scroll down to see my project for Dies R Us.

And, here is my card...

I just love the little bird on the limb holding the cup of coffee or tea!  A flowered coffee pot and polka dot coffee cups, too!  I'm ready for spring, so I decided to make a bright card with happy colors and warm sunshine.  A spring picnic would be fun, don't you think?!

I water colored the background and all the images.  The bird, sentiment, coffee pot and cups are from the new stamp set You warm my heart.  The sun and clouds are from the stamp set Somewhere over the Rainbow.  The images were die cut with coordinately dies...Sweet Cuts-You warm my heart and Sweet Cuts-Somewhere over the Rainbow.  The small flowers for the border of the blanket were made using a punch from EK. Sequins (Frosting) to finish the card.

Dies R Us Challenge-March 15, 2017(Borders/Edges)!

Hi, friends!

It's time for another Dies R Us Challenge!  The theme is Borders/ Edges!  I recently purchased new border dies from Dies R Us and I will be using this set of dies a lot.  It comes with five different dies and I used two of them on my card...so pretty!

For my card, I started with a blue card base and paired it with paper from American Crafts.  The flower die is from Memory Box(Delightful Peony Outline) and the bird is from Memory Box(Resting Birds), also.  The borders that I used are from Die-Versions(Pretty Borders).  The dies that I used on this card are listed below...

There are so many choices at Dies R Us store!  And, new items are added all the time!  I'd love to see your project in the challenge using borders and/or edges...happy creating!

Would you like more inspiration?  Check out some amazing creations from my talented teammates!

Hi, there!

Welcome to Paper Sweeties Release Sneak Peeks!  The team is working on coffee/tea themed projects this month! Some wonderful fun sets will be released tomorrow on the 15th!  They will be a must have for your stamp/die collection!  And, here is my card...

For my card, I colored Abigail with copics and dressed her in a cowgirl outfit from the set Giddyup.  The horse and sentiment on the cup is from the same set.  The cup and sentiment at the top is from the new stamp set Keep calm and drink coffee.  I water colored the background, horse, and coffee cup with distress inks.  The coffee cup, horse, sentiments, and boots were sprayed with Heidi Swapp's gold color shine.  Gold thread was applied to the horse for interest.  The die cuts used are Sweet Cuts-Abigail and Sweet Cuts-Keep calm and drink coffee.  Metal dots for the finishing touch.  Abigail is now ready to giddyup after a strong cup of coffee!:-)

A view of the inside of the card using a cup from the Planner Series: Coffee and sentiment from the new set listed above.
